Delete Data Request
How to request removal of your personal data from Ọnwá.
Last updated: October 27, 2025
Introduction
Ọnwá by AionTech values your privacy and your control over your data. This page outlines how users of the Ọnwá mobile app (the “App”) can request the deletion of some or all of their data — without needing an account or an active session in the App.
As detailed in our Privacy Policy, the App is primarily offline and collects minimal data. You can request deletion at any time.
Data We Collect & What We Delete
The App does not require accounts or track users extensively. Data collected includes:
- Device Information: Device type, OS version, unique identifiers. These are deleted upon request; anonymous aggregates may be retained indefinitely for analytics but are fully disassociated from your identity.
- Usage Data: Anonymous app interactions not tied to individuals. These are kept indefinitely but disassociated from any personal identifiers.
- Contact Information: Details from support emails, including your name and email address. These are fully deleted upon request.
- Community Data: Any posts, comments, or profile data if you use community features. Fully deleted upon request.
Upon a deletion request, we remove all identifiable personal data within 30 days, including from backups.
Steps to Request Data Deletion
2
Provide identifying details, such as the email address used for support, your community username, or approximate install date.
3
Specify what you'd like deleted — e.g., “all contact data”, “my community profile and posts”, or “all data associated with my email address”.
4
We will verify, process, and confirm your request within 30 days, in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and similar applicable laws.
No login is required — requests can be made anonymously if preferred.
What Happens After Your Request
- Verification: We confirm your identity using the details you provide (e.g., matching your support email).
- Deletion: Personal data is removed from servers and backups within 30 days. You will receive email confirmation when complete.
- Retention: Only non-identifiable aggregates are kept (e.g., anonymized crash statistics). No recovery is possible after deletion.
- Exceptions: Legal holds may delay deletion in rare circumstances. You will be notified if this applies to your request.
Your Rights
This process supports your rights to erasure under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws. If you have requests related to data access, correction, or objection to processing, use the same email process described above.
